Cabooses

When Don Denlinger first established The Red Caboose in 1970, all 19 cabooses were painted red. Since then, The Red Caboose has expanded to include 38 cabooses, a baggage car, and a mail car, all decorated in the schemes of America's most famous railroads.

Check-in time is 3PM. Check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in or late check-out can be accommodated for an additional fee. Please contact the front desk to have this added to your reservation.

Please note that most rooms are not handicap accessible. Contact the Front Desk for information on how we can best accommodate your special needs.

Smoking and pets are not permitted. Room decor may not be as pictured below. Each caboose has its own decor to enjoy. To ensure the best experience possible for all guests, requests for specific cabooses cannot be guaranteed.

The Red Caboose Motel is electric car friendly. Charge your car right at your caboose for no additional fee.

*TWO-NIGHT MINIMUM STAY POLICY: During Day Out With Thomas, holidays and most weekends May through December, there is a two night minimum stay required. Day Out With Thomas and holidays require 7-day cancellation notification. Contact the Front Desk at 717-687-5000 or 888-687-5005 for additional information.
